We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should be an expert in traditional and modern South Indian cuisine, capable of preparing a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes with authentic flavors and presentation. The chef will be responsible for maintaining food quality, hygiene, and consistency while introducing creativity to the menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of South Indian dishes such as meals, biryani, chutneys, curries, parotta and more.
- Ensure food quality and consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menus that reflect South Indian culinary traditions.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and comply with food safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (minimum 3–5 years) as a South Indian Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
- In-depth knowledge of South Indian ingredients, cooking methods, and dietary preferences (including vegetarian and vegan options).
- Culinary certification or diploma is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
- Ready to work under pressure and for long hours.
Preferred Regional Expertise:
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following cuisines will be preferred:
- Tamil Nadu cuisine
- Kerala cuisine
- Andhra/Telangana cuisine
- Karnataka cuisine
