The Stores Supervisors is responsible to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the engineering stores within a private estate, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of materials, tools, spare parts, and equipment. The Stores Supervisor ensures that all items are properly documented, stored securely, and readily available to support maintenance and engineering functions efficiently, while adhering to health, safety, and quality standards.
JOB LOCATION: FUJAIRAH, UAE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
- Certification in Inventory or Warehouse Management (e.g., CILT, CIPS, or APICS) is preferred.
- Knowledge of HSE standards and material handling safety procedures.
- Valid UAE Driving License (advantageous for logistics coordination).
EXPERIENCE:
- 3–5 years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in engineering, facilities management, construction, or private estate operations.
- Experience in handling MEP materials, tools, consumables, and maintenance-related inventory.
- Familiarity with UAE-based suppliers, local sourcing practices, and stock auditing.
KEY SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Inventory & Stock Control
- Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures, stock rotation, reordering levels, and minimum/maximum stock thresholds.
- Conducting regular stock checks, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate stock registers.
- Ability to prevent overstocking and stock shortages.
Warehouse & Storage Operations
- Managing store layout and ensuring proper labeling, segregation, and safety of items.
- Organizing tools, spare parts, and consumables for easy access and quick issuance.
- Overseeing cleanliness, temperature, and storage compliance for sensitive equipment or chemicals.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintaining Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Issue Vouchers, and Stock Movement Logs.
- Preparing monthly inventory reports, stock valuations, and discrepancy reports.
- Handling warranty documents, serial number tracking, and equipment histories.
System & Software Proficiency
- Proficient in inventory management software or ERP systems
- Skilled in MS Excel and digital filing systems for tracking procurement and usage trends.
Team Leadership & Communication
- Supervising storekeepers and coordinating with the procurement, engineering, and maintenance teams.
- Communicating shortages, delays, and urgent stock needs promptly.
- Training store staff in stock handling, safety, and documentation procedures.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensuring safe storage and handling of hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, and flammables in accordance with UAE regulations.
- Enforcing PPE usage, manual handling protocols, and safety signage within the storage area.
