1. Role Purpose:
This project brief outlines the objectives, responsibilities, and expected deliverables for the apprentice working on the Converting Production Lines at Al Nakheel Paper Manufacturing. The apprentice will gain practical, hands-on experience in production operations and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives in alignment with the company’s IWS (Integrated Work System) standards.
2. Role Objectives:
- Gain practical exposure to process management within a manufacturing environment.
- Understand and apply process control methodologies, tools, and techniques following IWS systems.
- Support effective shift handovers by participating in DDS (Daily Direction Setting) using the SHO (Shift Handover) structure.
- Learn how to lead production teams to achieve daily output targets.
- Ensure proper communication and information flow from the Line Leader to the floor team during line DDS.
3. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in conducting shift handovers and Line DDS meetings.
- Support in filling out and leading the 14 steps of RTTDMS (Run-to-Target Daily Management System) during line DDS.
- Ensure proper functioning of quality checkpoints and perform regular health checks on time.
- Communicate action plans to the line team and ensure timely and complete execution.
- Escalate breakdowns (BD) and downtime (DT) issues as per the escalation matrix.
- Conduct safety, quality, and operational checks including OFS (Operational Floor Safety) and BOS (Basic Operating Standards).
- Guide and support the production team to ensure capability and performance in achieving targets.
