- Warmly welcome guests as they arrive
- Escort them to their tables and present menus
- Listen attentively and accurately take food and drink orders
- Enter orders into the POS (point of sale) system
- Deliver orders promptly and correctly
- Ensure the presentation meets the restaurant’s standards
- Check in during meals to ensure satisfaction
- Respond to requests (e.g., refills, extra utensils)
- Handle complaints or escalate them to a manager if needed
- Set tables with clean linens, utensils, and glasses
- Clear and clean tables after guests leave
- Prepare and present checks
- Process payments accurately (cash, card, etc.)
