Role purpose:
To provide direct end user interfaces to understand their business requirements, design, document, develop and test software business solutions ensuring efficient and cost-effective implementation of IT strategy in accordance with EMARAT’s policies, processes and standard operating procedures.
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
- Delivers regular analysis and provide recommendations for the successful planning, implementation and support of the application requirements of the assigned business functions
- Conduct periodic reviews and establish regular checkpoints
- Align technology with business requirements
- Provide guidance for application roadmap planning
- Ensure continuous availability of deployed services with minimum disruption
- Provide seamless support on deployed applications
- Conduct fault investigation and either fix or escalate to suppliers in order to ensure the satisfactory resolutions of defects
- Initiations, planning, execution, control and closure of assigned projects
- Ensure results achieved to time, within budget adhering to quality standards
- Map business requirements to application modules, insures prevention of data non-integrity, incorrect customer facing reports or incorrect financial entry postings
- Prepare requirement documents, technical design documents, user and training manuals
- Perform Design, development, integration, testing and deployment of new applications
- Create detailed product test scripts and appropriate documentation
- Provides training to users on new solutions
- Integrate new systems into current systems ensuring no adverse effect on their operational efficiency
- Process optimization, provides training and support and manage changes process
- Provide inputs and assistance for creating process and procedure documents
- Ensure all documentation related to the operations of the unit are created and maintained as elaborately as possible.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of business processes specific to Emarat operations and Strong Business Process understanding for the concepts under control.
- Knowledge of applications and technologies implemented in the relevant functional area.
- Project Management, Implementing IT business application, Software Design, develop & Implementation, application implementation & Administration.
- Thorough understanding of SDLC with proficiency in mapping business requirements, technical documentation, coding, application design, development, integration, testing and troubleshooting for complex information systems management.
- Strong communication, collaboration and team building skills with proficiency at grasping new technical concepts quickly and utilise the same in a productive manner.
- Good Written and oral Communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Applications.
- Recognized certification in related technology field
Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience within IT with minimum 2 years in application support and project management.
