Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HR support to our construction projects, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and developing strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Talent Management: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the construction industry.
2. Employee Relations: Provide guidance on employee relations, handle disciplinary actions, and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
3. Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies, including OSHA and employment standards.
4. Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, including safety training and certification.
5. Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
6. Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems, including goal setting, evaluations, and promotions.
7. Employee Engagement: Foster a positive work culture, promote employee engagement, and develop programs to enhance job satisfaction.
8. Safety and Risk Management: Collaborate with the safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations and develop strategies to reduce workplace injuries.
9. Union Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with union representatives and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
10. Reporting and Analytics: Provide HR metrics and analytics to support business decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of HR experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including OSHA
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in HR or related field
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification
- Experience with HRIS systems and data analytics
- Knowledge of construction industry-specific regulations and standards
