Experienced Retail Treasury & FX Sales Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and Sell FX and FX Linked products (eg: Premium Accounts) to individual (retail) customers
  • Meet or beat the FX Products Sales and Revenue targets on a monthly basis
  • Interact with external customers for Sales and Advisory as ‘Treasury Sales Specialist"
  • Communicate frequently with customers on FX/Interest rates trends, selection of currency alternatives based on client’s knowledge, needs and view, in line with Citi House view
  • Outbound Sales calls for existing / prospective customers on FX/Treasury solutions; Deliver clients presentations & seminars
  • Support existing clients with new alternative solutions, help to maintain and grow FX portfolio based on client’s personal investment objectives and markets view, in line with Citi House view
  • Train and coach new sales team members on FX/Interest rate products, as may be necessary
  • Design reliable marketing strategies / solutions, by working closely with Data Management/Fincon/Operations in order to meet sales force requirements and accelerate FX revenues
  • Conduct regular market reviews with ICG Treasury & originate products that add to FX revenues.
  • Liaise with GCG RM’s / Sales & Service staff to identify & resolve any issues in Treasury business
  • Co-ordinate with UAE & Bahrain Ops and Data management unit to ensure accuracy & timely release of FX linked product reports.
  • Understand, examine and generate strategies based on MIS reports for business development.
  • Conduct UAT for treasury projects & ensure the business requirements are fulfilled in enhanced systems before it is launched to production users.
  • Adherence to Regional & Country Specific Compliance & Audit policies

Knowledge/Experience:

  • FX Market or Sales Experience. (MM/FI Trading experience also can be considered)
  • FX sales & booking experience – at least 5 years
  • Knowledge of FX market practice and FX linked products / options
  • Proficiency in office skills: MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Skills:

  • Have confidence on explaining Citi house views on FX / Markets for individual clients and can explain that to others professionally, as advisor
  • Numerically strong; knowledge on Trading Market Data, Charts, Trading Tools, have used Reuters, Bloomberg etc, market data, charts, tools
  • Can use markets research such as ‘Citi House Views’
  • Outgoing personality
  • Outstanding Customer Communication skills over phone and face to face
  • Sales aptitude – to convince idea to Customers, Internal Client Relationship Managers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with other sales team, products, treasury and overseas partners
  • Excellent presentation and computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English a must
  • Detail-oriented; control process, documentation and tracking skills. Metrics-oriented

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
  • Wealth management experience preferred, with sales and products background along with familiarity on financial planning concepts as a must

Competencies:

  • Experience to understand financial market expectations and generate suggestions based on market research materials
  • Experience to have client interaction for selling treasury products
  • Experience with identifying and resolving any issues in Treasury product business, i.e. FX mainly by collaborating with Operations and Customer Complaint centers
