We are looking for a Voyage Coordinator to support our Deepsea Commercial team in Dubai!

We are looking for a talented colleague who wants to join Stolt Tank Deepsea team as Voyage Coordinator. You will work with the commercial team to provide support to the Voyage Optimisation and Sales & Marketing Department in customer-centric activities. You will be the day-to-day liaison of Stolt Tankers with our customers and brokers, and internally you will keep our voyage itineraries and their results up-to-date.

What can you expect?

You will be joining the Deepsea Commercial team and working in a dynamic environment. As a Voyage Coordinator, you will work together with Sales and Marketing and Trading and Voyage Optimisation on executing on voyages.

Key activities/ responsibilities:

  • Handles the day to day liaison with spot and COA customers, including:
  • nominating ships under COA’s and spot fixtures as directed by the Trading Sales Manager
  • taking COA nominations
  • providing last cargoes
  • providing ETA’s and PTA’s
  • handle all customer service requests;
  • Maintain voyage itinerary and P/L for assigned ships, and provide comments on voyage progress in the notes section;
  • Enter COA nominations and any later changes to the COA nomination in IMOS, and maintain. Is responsible for the accuracy of the data entries;
  • Responsible for the accurate entry of spot fixtures in IMOS and any later changes to the spot fixture;
  • Responsible for the accurate entry of barging and transshipments in IMOS and maintenance of the fixtures;
  • Provide weekly forecast report;
  • Maintain Contract of Affreightment(COA) files and ensure that records are up to date;
  • Responsible for maintaining all relevant COA KPI’s as directed by Trading Sales Manager;
  • Responsible for ensuring extra charges are entered in IMOS and same is being re-billed as required;
  • Attend and assist during KPI meetings with customers.

Functional requirements

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level working experience;
  • Preferably 7-12 years’ experience of relevant work experience in a commercial environment;
  • Some relevant working experience within the shipping industry;
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office tools;
  • Knowledge and experience with IMOS is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of charter party and shipping terms is preferred;
  • You have a 'can do' mentality;
  • You are a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills in English;
  • You are a team player that can build good working relations, but you can also work independent and are a 'self-starter' and have the ability to work well in a team, as well as independently;
  • You have the ability to work in a dynamic environment with high activity.
