Job Title: Civil Inspector
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Experience Required: Minimum 8+ years in UAE, including 5+ years in consultancy
Project Type: Large-scale building projects in the UAE
Notice Period: 0–30 days (Immediate joiners preferred)
Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of civil works at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
- Monitor and assess the workmanship and materials used in the construction of large-scale building projects, ensuring adherence to approved plans and local authority regulations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, highlighting non-conformance, quality issues, and recommended corrective actions.
- Liaise effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve on-site issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.
- Review and approve construction materials and methodologies, verifying alignment with required specifications and standards.
- Perform routine site visits to monitor progress and quality in line with project timelines.
- Support quality control procedures and coordinate on-site material testing as required.
- Offer technical guidance to site personnel to ensure clear understanding of the project’s quality and compliance expectations.
- Maintain continuous communication with all stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years of civil inspection experience in the UAE, with at least 5 years in an engineering consultancy.
- Strong background in large-scale building projects.
- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction practices, and UAE municipal requirements.
- Familiarity with inspection and quality reporting tools/software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Experience working under Abu Dhabi regulations is preferred.
