Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in high-rise building projects, specifically within the UAE. The ideal candidate will support the Senior QS and Project Managers in delivering accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and contract administration throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
- Perform material take-offs and quantity measurements from architectural and structural drawings.
- Monitor and update project costs, budgets, and forecasts.
- Assist in evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Participate in site inspections to validate progress and quantities.
- Support in contract administration, including variations, claims, and payment certifications.
- Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards, local regulations, and company policies.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors on cost-related issues.
- Maintain records of project financials and progress reports.
- Support the preparation of monthly valuation reports and final accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant UAE experience on high-rise building projects.
- Sound knowledge of contracts and local contract practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software such as PlanSwift.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Good written and spoken English communication; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and in teams under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with local authorities’ requirements (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees).
