Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Land Surveyor (Marine) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting precise marine surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and providing crucial information for various marine and coastal projects in the region.
- Set up and operate specialized marine surveying equipment
- Conduct bathymetric surveys to measure and map underwater terrain
- Perform hydrographic surveys for coastal engineering and offshore projects
- Inspect and maintain surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Collect, process, and analyze survey data using advanced software tools
- Prepare detailed reports, charts, and maps based on survey findings
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support marine construction and development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
- Participate in safety briefings and adhere to all safety protocols for marine operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in marine surveying
- Proficiency in using marine surveying equipment, including GPS and sonar technology
- Experience with data processing software and GIS applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness to work in challenging offshore conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel to various coastal and offshore sites in the UAE
- Safety-conscious mindset and familiarity with marine safety protocols
