We Are Hiring: Project Manager – Marine Construction (Pontoons)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with a solid background in marine construction, particularly in pontoon projects, to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a major project in Abu Dhabi, requiring strong technical expertise in geotechnical, piling, and shoring works, as well as proven leadership in managing marine infrastructure projects within the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage marine construction projects (with a focus on pontoons) from planning through execution to successful handover.
- Possess strong technical knowledge in geotechnical investigations, piling, and shoring.
- Define and oversee project scope, deliverables, and objectives.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments for seamless project delivery.
- Review and validate shop drawings, structural calculations, and material submittals related to marine works.
- Ensure full compliance with local authorities’ regulations and safety standards.
- Address and resolve site-based technical challenges efficiently.
- Maintain control over project timelines, budgets, resources, and ensure high-quality execution.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding variations, project progress, and required design modifications.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in marine civil and structural engineering projects, with at least 10 years in the UAE.
- Must have worked with reputable UAE-based contracting companies.
- Proven success in delivering marine infrastructure projects, including pontoon systems and related works.
- Strong grasp of structural engineering principles, load calculations, and marine environmental factors.
- Track record of on-site problem-solving and engineering issue resolution.
- Skilled in reading, interpreting, and guiding execution based on technical drawings and specifications.
