Academic Counsellor (Immediate)
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Academic Counsellor to guide students in achieving their educational and career goals. The ideal candidate will provide personalized academic support, help students navigate course selections, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise students on course selection, academic planning, and career pathways
- Monitor student progress and provide support to overcome academic challenges
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to align counselling with institutional goals
- Conduct workshops or seminars on study skills, time management, and goal setting
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress reports
- Assist with admissions, orientation, and transition programs for new students
- Provide emotional support and referrals to mental health professionals when needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or related field
- Prior experience in academic advising or student support services preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive student issues with discretion and empathy
- Familiarity with educational systems, curriculum structures, and career planning tools
- Proficient in using student information systems and digital communication platforms
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
