Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out and bespoke joinery works including civil, MEP, and FF&E components.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements to identify cost impacts.
- Prepare quantity take-offs using AutoCAD and/or PDF markup tools.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and accurate scope matching.
- Develop cost breakdowns and pricing structures for tender submissions.
- Prepare value engineering options and alternatives when required.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to align technical and commercial expectations.
- Conduct site visits (as needed) to assess project complexities and validation of quantities.
- Monitor market trends, material prices, and labor costs to keep estimates up to date.
- Support in tender clarification meetings, negotiations, and post-award handovers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in interior fit-out and joinery estimation within the UAE.
- Strong technical understanding of fit-out details including finishes, furniture, partitions, ceilings, and millwork.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Bluebeam or Planswift (or similar take-off tools).
- Knowledge of local market suppliers, subcontractors, and pricing trends.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
- UAE Driving License
- Knowledge of authority regulations (e.g., ADM, Civil Defense) is a plus.
