Overview of the role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Buying Estimator to join our team. The role involves inspecting vehicle purchases, body repairs, and other related services for the vehicle buying process. You will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates while maintaining customer satisfaction. This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prepare estimates from the vehicle inspection tool, including vehicle condition and body shop specifications
- Accurately assess physical and mechanical conditions and capture vehicle data attributes
- Liaise with pricing and the head of purchasing to determine the most suitable market value for all incoming vehicles
- Ensure all necessary documents are collected and sent to Admin/PRO for de-registration
- Ensure the retail purchased car preparation matches the estimated preparation with a maximum variance of 10%
- Ensure all purchased cars are taken into stock and parked in Al Futtaim premises according to the sales channel
- Follow up with Sales Executives about the appraisal and price delivered to the customer, and update the buyer on the trade-in deal status
- High school diploma
- 2 years in car estimate/inspection/mechanic knowledge
- Experience in buying or selling vehicles
- Floor experience in a major franchise workshop

You will be part of the Buying Team, which is the only source to get vehicles for Automall. The team is highly customer-focused and performance-oriented. It is important that the job holder is self-driven and motivated to excel in both these parameters.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to handle a high level of activity
- Emotional maturity to handle and satisfy internal and external customers
- Sensitivity and teamwork to excel in a multicultural work environment
- Ability to remain focused on setting monthly targets and be self-driven to achieve and excel them
- Ability to do self-review and continuously improve
