Brand Manager

Riot Games - Dubai, Emirate of Dubai

Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As a Brand Manager, as part of a multi-discipline Publishing team in Dubai , you’ll be the driving force in designing and implementing strategies, creative campaigns and initiatives that help further establish and position the League of Legends and Riot brands in the Middle East.. You’ll be tasked with creating engaging and memorable experiences around League products that maximise awareness, impact and participation, by focusing on things that will raise the bar for European League players.

As a Dubai Rioter, you’ll join a small team that shares our obsession with player experience, rejection of convention, and maniacal passion for gaming. Riot Games Dubai is dedicated to creating unique player experiences that show Middle East players they aren’t lost in translation.

You are:
  • A gaming native: although a professional background in gaming is a bonus, most importantly you're a core gamer and consider yourself part of the gaming community
  • Action oriented: when things aren’t being shipped, you get itchy feet. You recognise the need for planning, but know that getting things out the door and into the hands of players is the most important thing we can do and you bring this sense of urgency to your work and your teammates
  • A strategist: your foresight is 20/20, enabling you to get a jump on future trends and shifts with seer-like accuracy; you anticipate consequences, creating breakthrough strategies and plans and back up those strong marketing instincts with meticulous analysis, metrics, and stats
  • Ambitious: you don’t wait for opportunity to knock – you kick the door off its hinges to grab it first; armed with a five, ten, and hundred-year plan (subject to change, of course), you’re constantly seeking the next challenge that’ll level up your skills
  • Player-focused: you understand your impact on the player experience because you’re a player, too; you listen closely to the community to better understand their needs before they do and improve the overall League of Legends experience
  • A creative: you have the ability to see the big picture and utilize your suit of skills to level up your team’s creative ideas; you back up those strong marketing instincts with meticulous analysis, metrics and stats
  • A global thinker: working on a global game means we need to be in step with other Rioters around the world. Collaboration and relationships with your peers in other offices will be an essential part of your success
You will:
  • Lead branding and marketing programs that engage players with Riot Games and League of Legends in the Middle East
  • Create campaign strategies in partnership with the development team and LA marketing teams that will hit the mark in culturally-relevant ways
  • Establish and use KPIs to help us hand-craft marketing solutions that delight players
  • Evaluate and advocate new programs and campaigns that elevate and reinforce League of Legends’ and Riot Games’ positioning in the Middle East.
  • Manage agencies, vendors and freelancers to achieve big things with a small team
  • Establish and use KPIs to help us hand-craft marketing solutions that delight players

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
